St Louis Adult Entertainment: MLB All-Star Game Diary: American League 4, National League 3
11:10: Francisco Rodriguez is in to pitch for the National League and gets Brandon Inge to ground out to shortstop. But Inge did manage to break his bat in the process. Carl Crawford then strikes out. Up next, Justin Morneau sends a ball deep to center field and Jayson Werth–just as you want to say, “There’s no way he gets to that,”–makes a great backhanded catch that seemed to need less effort than one would have thought a split second before, to end the inning. 4-3, American League, and Mariano Rivera will come in to try for his fourth career All-Star Game save.
10:59: Adrian Gonzalez works a full count before taking a walk from Nathan, bringing up Orlando Hudson. Here are two quick fun facts about Orlando Hudson, who singles up the middle and sends Gonzalez to third: 1. He was demoted in his rookie year with the Blue Jays after referring to Toronto GM J.P. Ricciardi as “pimp,” and 2. He has spearheaded an “Around the Mound” tour this season, where he pairs with an African-American ballplayer in cities he visits on the road to get minority students interested in baseball.
