St Louis Adult Entertainment: Which St. Louisans Have the Strongest Livers?

Posted in St Louis adult entertainment at 4:25 pm by adultstlouis

8. Monroe County, because we always put Monroe County in theses lists, even though we’re not really sure what goes on there? (Where is it, again?)
AND THE GRAND WINNER IS ………………… The Alcoholism Award goes to Madison County, where 25 percent of adults are “excessive drinkers,” a metric that combines binge drinking and heavy drinking.
St.Charles County wasn’t far behind, at 24 percent, with the City of St. Louis clocking in at third place, at 21 percent. (Gotta represent A-B).
In any case, congrats to Madison County, which engages in a tradition that sounds pretty healthy to us.
And just to show we’re totally on board, allow us to recommend a watering hole — Luna Cafe, which we named “Best East Side Neighborhood Bar” in our Best-Of Contest last year. The former brothel is now mellow, decorated to the max and run by a genial fella named Rooster.

St Louis Strip Clubs: Editorial: Spence credibility buried in avalanche of TARP explanations

Posted in St Louis strip clubs at 3:36 am by strippertease

Mr. Spence, a wealthy St. Louis businessman, should have learned that lesson before he ever entered the race. After all, he pushed aside his friend, Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder, when Mr. Kinder stumbled over contradictory explanations for spending taxpayer dollars on personal stays in St. Louis luxury hotels and his relationship with a former stripper.
Voters tend to forgive mistakes. But they won’t put up with a thick fog of contrived answers that obscure the truth.
Here are the facts related to Mr. Spence’s role on that bank board, as laid out in an Associated Press story by reporter David Lieb:

At least Mr. Kinder’s ultimate explanation for ending up in a Southside dive bar fawning over an-ex stripper had a certain panache. He claims he simply was looking for a bathroom and decided to have a glass of wine.

St Louis Strip Clubs: A Family Friendly Florissant

Posted in St Louis strip clubs at 9:36 pm by strippertease

Rory C. Reid, MSW, a licensed therapist and author who specializes in the treatment of sex offenders, states it is necessary for these individuals to avoid viewing seductive displays in order to minimize the risk of re-offending.
Our neighborhood convenient store is located on the same block as two grade schools and within blocks of two known sexual offenders* (one convicted of rape of a minor, the other for possessing child pornography), according to Family Watchdog.
Would the parents of these students feel safer if there were no visible triggers for sexual predators who happen to be passing through?
Is it OK that young women in our community are now being sent the message that pole dancing is just another form of exercise? I hope we can see these classes for what they are, training and recruitment for work in strip clubs and the like, which brings with it drug abuse, theft and other crime.

St Louis Strip Clubs: ‘Bare Necessities’ in East St. Louis

Posted in St Louis strip clubs at 10:48 am by strippertease

Bear Necessitis, a strip club in East St. Louis, has both girls and a breakfast buffet. It does not accept Bear Bucks.

Not that I would have wanted a dance anyways. The girls were clearly unhappy in their positions, really not enjoying what they were doing. Is it too much to ask that my strippers appreciate the good work that they do? Most of them were getting on in years (mid-twenties), and their ages were clearly showing.

Speaking of ocean-going vessels, the breakfast buffet tasted as though it was a dish best served on the high seas in the 1790s. Not only was everything cold and soggy, but it also all tasted the same. I’m pretty sure some maggots used the dish as a swimming pool. The best thing I can say about it is that at the end of a long night of drinking, I would appreciate something to quiet my stomach. But for the strip club connoisseur, I say that you can definitely find better food options at pretty much any other club around the greater St. Louis area.

St Louis Strip Clubs: Simon: Restore Funding to Metro East Crisis Center

Posted in St Louis strip clubs at 8:24 pm by strippertease

Advocates back strip club surcharge to restore critical funding, protect jobs

Simon said Senate Bill 3348 would require all strip clubs that permit alcohol to pay a $5-per-patron fee. The funds would be distributed to community-based sexual assault prevention and response organizations, such as Call For Help, Inc., which is facing a 10 percent cut in state funding in Fiscal Year 2013, after sustaining a 29 percent in state funding between 2009-12.

Last year, the Texas Supreme Court upheld legislation that funded crisis centers through a $5 entrance fee at strip clubs that permit alcohol. The U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear a challenge of that decision, effectively opening the door for other cities and states to purse similar measures. California is among the states seeking legislation; it is considering a $10-per-patron fee.

St Louis Strip Clubs: IL Lieutenant Governor Backs Strip Club Fee Law

IL Lieutenant Governor Backs Strip Club Fee Law

When asked why other clubs that sell alcohol weren’t targeted in this legislation, Simon said the research this bill was written on found the strongest correlation between strip clubs, alcohol and violence. She said many women who work at strip clubs become victims of sexual violence, but also men who visit the clubs who are often intoxicated and carry a lot of cash are easy targets for assault and robbery.
Simon says she and other lawmakers are working with strip club owners to find a solution that makes all parties happy, but so far, it’s not clear what that compromise would be. California is debating a similar bill, but it requires a ten-dollar entrance fee. This bill was based on research and a similar bill out of Texas.

St Louis Strip Clubs: James Lairy dies, as ‘Papersack,’ was half comedy duo that played black nightclubs

Posted in St Louis strip clubs at 3:00 am by strippertease

He started with ambitions of becoming a boxer. By all accounts, he was pretty good, fighting in the Golden Gloves and eager to become a pro.
Friends called him “Buttercup” back then.
When he entered the Air Force, doctors found that he had a weak heart. He was honorably discharged a few weeks later.
He returned to St.Louis, where he hooked up with Lawrence, who had just split up with his comedy partner.
Lawrence was the straight man of the act; Mr. Lairy became the new comic.
“Stick ‘em down,” Paper would say.
“Paper, you say, ‘Stick ‘em up.’”
“Oh, no wonder I ain’t made any money all day.”
Lawrence recalled: “The closest we came to vulgarity was ‘damn’ and ‘hell.’”
They performed often with strippers, but “We were angels compared to what comedians do today,” Lawrence said.

St Louis Strip Clubs: Law and order

ST. LOUIS > Mortgage broker operator sentenced in fraud — David Rubin, 48, who formerly ran two branches of Coral Mortgage Bankers Corp., was sentenced Friday to six months of house arrest, five years of probation and 200 hours of community service for his role in the loss of $1.2 million of a man’s life savings. Rubin, of Chesterfield, pleaded guilty on one felony count of wire fraud. Rubin and Matthew Kent, 41, of University City, took the money and promised it would be held in trust, officials said. Instead, they used $250,000 for office expenses and sent the rest to a man named Joshua Gould, 32, of University City, an independent representative of Woodbury Financial Services. Gould spent some of the money on strippers, personal expenses and unrelated business ventures and eventually lost it all. In court filings, Rubin lawyer Will Goldstein wrote that Rubin didn’t know what Gould was doing with the money until it was gone. Rubin believed Gould’s promises t …
