Strippers and Club Owners Fight For Right To Bare All08-12-2010
St. Louis, MO – Missouri’s adult entertainment industry refusing state law to go PG-13. Owners of Adult Dance bars have filed a lawsuit to keep Missouri from implementing a new law that would ban full nudity and alcohol at strip clubs and adult stores. The new law would also stop topless lap dances and tipping, as well as force these clubs to close at midnight.
Calling the law a “series of draconian restrictions,” the lawsuit asks the court to keep it from taking effect Aug. 28th, when it is slated.
The lawsuit filed in Cole County involves more than a dozen plaintiffs, including three unnamed adult dancers, numerous businesses and an organization for the adult entertainment industry. It also includes the president of a national chain of adult businesses, who lives in the St. Louis-area and is suing in his individual capacity as a taxpayer.

According to court documents, on July 15, 2009, Officer Pullen responded to an advertisement placed on the Internet by a woman who posted her picture and contact information as a prostitute. Pullen contacted the woman via cell phone and identified himself as “Jimmy,” and without identifying himself as a police officer, arranged to meet her at a specific location in Uplands Park. He agreed to pay $400 for sexual acts, and also asked her to bring a friend. When they arrived, a police vehicle pulled behind her car. Pullen, who was on duty and dressed in full uniform, including a badge and sidearm, approached her, showed her the ad she had posted on the Internet, and demanded to know how much money she had with her. Pullen made her follow him to the police station, where he sexually assaulted her.

A St. Louis-area man was sentenced this morning to life in prison without parole for the killing of two men outside a Kansas City strip club.
Deonta R. Taylor, 32, of Florissant, Mo., was sentenced in Jackson County Circuit Court where a jury in June found him guilty of two counts of first-degree murder. He was also found guilty of two counts of armed criminal action.
Taylor was convicted in the shooting deaths of Drell D. Fisher and Reginald L. Barnes. Both men were 33.
They were shot to death in February 2009 in the parking lot outside Gerry’s Silver Slipper on Independence Avenue. There was no trial testimony about a motive, but club records showed that Taylor’s driver’s license was used to enter the club that morning. Several eyewitnesses also picked him out of a photo line-up.
The defense maintained that the witnesses were not credible and that Taylor’s driver’s license had been stolen prior its use at the club.

On Men In The Entertainment Industry dating strippers or “former” strippers I think that a man is just attracted to a woman who is free. She’s just living her life and in connection, she makes him feel free too. You have to understand that before coming into the industry, most cats were just regular dudes who never had a chance to get with someone that’s hot like that. And now they can get this chicks that’s just living her life and is live, she makes him live too.On men in the entertainment industry not being attracted to “regular” women They should actually be flattered by that. Because you are going to attract who you are. This dude might have a great career …

Police in East St. Louis say Travis Heard, 33, was on the roof of the Colony II Theatre and Cocktails strip club around 5 a.m. this morning when he was confronted by the club’s owner.
Heard was reportedly ordered off the roof at gunpoint and escorted inside the building. The club owner called police around 5:30 a.m. to report the attempted theft, but by the time authorities arrived to the scene Heard was dead.
The owner — described as a “elderly man” — told police that Heard tried to flee and he shot him. Police followed a trail of blood some 75 feet from the club, where Heard’s body was found lying in the weeds.
Heard’s family tells the Belleville News-Democrat that he was addicted to drugs.
“He had a drug problem, but that was no reason to kill him. He was not a trouble maker; he was just on drugs,” said cousin, Bernard Heard.
