TOWN AND COUNTRY, Missouri—A former police officer has filed a lawsuit after she says she was sexually harassed for about a decade while working at the Town and Country Police Department.
In the lawsuit, Shannon Woolsey describes the Town and Country Police Department as a frat house. She said during her time she was made to feel unwelcome and inferior.
Woolsey said male officers frequently talked about sex, strippers and pornography. She says she was even asked her to perform sex acts.
Woolsey said some of the harassment came from her supervisors as well.
She also said when confidential complaints got out it led to retaliation from her fellow officers, a male-dominated squad.
