St. Louis Police Seek Ding Dongs Who Robbed Hostess Store
St. Louis police did not respond to my request asking to get a department official on record calling the crooks pictured here “Ding Dongs.” So, I’ll have to do it myself.
Though I gotta say: I’m a little disappointed that they stand accused of robbery and not soliciting prostitution at the Hostess store — in which case they’d be Ho Hos!
Okay, so where am I going with this? Oh, yeah. The St. Louis police department is asking the public for help identifying two individuals (better pics after the jump) who robbed the Hostess Brand Store at 6301 Broadway around 4:45 p.m. August 18.
According to police, the male suspect went to the register as if to purchase a soda. When the clerk opened the register, his female accomplice forced the clerk to the ground as he looted the cash drawer.

Ex-Mo. police officer admits to assaulting escorts

A former St. Louis-area police officer has admitted to arranging meetings with female escorts over the Internet, then when they showed up, telling them they were under arrest before sexually assaulting and robbing them.
Leon Pullen, a former Uplands Park police officer from Foley, pleaded guilty Wednesday to nine counts in U.S. District Court in St. Louis, including depriving someone of their civil rights, witness tampering, lying to the FBI and conspiracy. Other charges were dropped.
“He has accepted his responsibility by entering his plea,” Pullen’s attorney, Grant Shostak, said.
Pullen, 32, could face up to life in prison when he is sentenced Oct. 15, although he is expected to receive an 18 1/2- to 25-year term as part of his plea deal.

A Springfield, Ill. man was indicted on a federal prostitution charge this week for allegedly prostituting an underage runaway online.
Corey Allen Lockett, 23, was stopped by Arnold police on June 26, according to an affidavit filed in court by FBI Special Agent Ryan C. Thornton.
Police found two teens in the car, ages 15 and 16, who had been reported missing by a parent, and prostitution ads, customer lists and scripts for replying to potential customers, Thornton wrote.

Lockett told investigators that he is a pimp and admitted pimping the older teen and other girls, Thornton wrote. He admitted that he knew the older girl was underage and allowed the younger girl to accompany her into a motel room, Thornton wrote.

Police said the suspect then forced the victim to drive to a gas station on Natural Bridge and to go inside and withdraw money from an ATM. The victim called 911 from her cell phone while inside and the suspect drove the victim’s car from the scene.
St. Louis County police said the victim’s vehicle was recovered by Normandy police in the 3400 block of Lucas and Hunt around 6:00 a.m.
University officials said the campus is safe and they are discussing whether to expand security in and around the area.
School vice president Bob Samples said the university offers an escort service. Students can call and someone will walk them to their car or residence hall. And there are students here who say they do take advantage of that service.

ST. LOUIS — A prostitute became enraged when a man who wanted sex confided that he had no money. She stabbed him in the face and stole his car, police say.
The attack happened just before 1 a.m. Monday in the 5500 block of Wells Avenue, in the Hamilton Heights neighborhood of St. Louis.
The 49-year-old man, who was stabbed several times in the face, was found lying in a parking lot on Wells. He was in serious condition at a local hospital, police say. His name is being withheld.
The woman took off in the man’s green 1999 Buick Century. The car has a handicap license plate F7KG. No arrests have been made.

CLAYTON, Mo. | St. Louis County authorities say a prostitute knew she had the virus that causes AIDS but still had sexual encounters with several men.
Prosecutors on Thursday charged 20-year-old Nigaila Gibbs of St. Louis with prostitution while being knowingly infected with HIV.
Gibbs is jailed on $50,000 bond. She did not yet have an attorney.
Police say Gibbs had several sexual encounters with men but did not tell them she was HIV-positive. Authorities urge anyone who has had sex with Gibbs to contact the county police Bureau of Crimes Against Persons, and seek medical treatment.
