A $250,000 federal grant through the U.S. Department of Justice was provided annually as “seed” money for various projects to “weed” out crime in the three neighborhoods – Hunterstown, Middletown and Mexico. Crimes addressed included gun violence, prostitution and drug trafficking.

When I moved to Washington D.C. in 1990, Rush was heard on the radio nationwide. I used to listen. I didn’t agree with half of what he said, but he was funny. During the Gulf War he had hilarious skits with actors playing the parts of politicians, generals, sheiks and war correspondences.

And, there is really nothing compelling about devoting space to a Hall of Infamous Missourians.
