St Louis Adult Entertainment: Prolific Sunset Hills author keeps the suspense and romance flowing

Twenty years. I was a trauma nurse for 16. I worked in the emergency room at St. John’s (now Mercy Hospital St. Louis, in Creve Coeur).
Did you start writing after you retired from nursing?
No. I always wrote. I wrote for myself from the time I was 10. It’s like the Moliere quote, “Writing is like prostitution. First you do it for love, and then for a few close friends, and then for money.” By 10 I had gone through all the Nancy Drew books, and when I asked the librarian when the next book would be out, she said, “Next year.” I knew I couldn’t wait a year, and then the light goes on over my head and I think, “I can write that and I can make it turn out the way I want.” So I created twins who lived in a boarding school and solved crimes.

The other woman in formation at the congregation is Sister Mary Flick, 53, originally of Florissant. To enter, she sold her home of 17 years and left a job at St. Louis University, where she was employed for 25 years. She was part of a different congregation for five years but left in the 1980s because something didn’t fit.
She, too, doesn’t seem fazed by the decrease in religious vocations. It’s not just about work, she said. There are the strong relationships and close community.
“All we need are a few good women,” she said, visiting with Sister Agnes Marie Baer, 90.
Baer taught at Rosati-Kain High School with several other nuns and ran the New Life Style Program, which helped prostitutes get off the streets with counseling and job training. Today, there’s only one nun teaching at Rosati-Kain. The street ministry is gone.

The Washington Post reports MVP David Freese(notes) attended the premiere. He was tongue-in-cheek about his dropped pop-up in Game 6, but was also in awe of all the cool things he’s done since then. Trips to the Ellen Degeneres talk show and Jay Leno were in order. Even better, Freese is from St. Louis.
Big League Stew has three advance copies to give away to Cardinals fans before the release date. All you have to do is show the website how you celebrated the World Series win. Send a video or photo to enter the contest. The three zaniest entries win.
On the same day as the premiere, the agent of Albert Pujols(notes) received a nasty surprise. Supposedly, Dan Lozano has done quite a few questionable things for his clients. Information was supposedly leaked about his behavior to the website Deadspin. The report links Lozano to allegedly hiring prostitutes for some of his clients, among other things.

St Louis Strip Clubs: Kinder Drops Out, Leaves Ladue Businessman As Republican Frontrunner for Governor

Posted in St Louis strip clubs at 11:24 am by strippertease

A Ladue businessman is the Republican frontrunner for the 2012 gubernatorial primary.
Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder announced at 4 p.m. Friday that he is dropping out of the Missouri governor race, according to an Associated Press story.
Kinder has struggled after articles about visits at a strip club and taxpayer-supported hotel stays.
Kinder said he would support the candidacy of Dave Spence, of Ladue. Spence is president of Alpha Packaging on Page Industrial Boulevard in Overland. He has never run for office.
Spence is “a self-made man and proven manager who understands how to create jobs and improve the state’s economy,” Kinder said, according to the AP article.
Bill Randles, a lawyer and consultant from Kansas City, is another candidate for the Republican nomination.
Spence also faces some questions regarding his position on the board of Reliance Bank, as reported by the St. Louis Beacon.

St Louis Strip Clubs: APNewsBreak: Kinder won’t run for Mo. governor

… I believe after numerous conversations with Dave Spence that he is the Republican Party’s best chance of defeating Jay Nixon,” Kinder said. “Dave is a self-made man and proven manager who understands how to create jobs and improve the state’s economy. He is smart, serious and has a vision he’s shared with me to renew Missouri’s greatness. I am proud to call him a friend and will do everything in my power to see that he’s elected governor next year.”
Kinder had long been the Republicans’ presumed gubernatorial candidate, but his campaign was rocked by politically damaging revelations before it ever officially began.
Earlier this year, Kinder repaid the state more than $54,000 for lodging expenses after the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported he had spent hundreds of nights at St. Louis hotels, some of which coincided with society galas, sporting events and other non-governmental functions. Then in August, after an article by the St. Louis weekly newspaper the Riverfront Times, Kinder acknowledged that he had repeatedly visited an Illinois strip club when he was a state senator in the 1990s. A few Republicans, including one major donor, called on Kinder not to run for governor.
