Illinois Town Passes Ordinance Banning ‘Strippermobile’
But does the new rule apply to ice cream trucks, too?
May 31st, 2010 09:00 AM
COLLINSVILLE, Ill.—Monday, the city council of the horseradish capital of the world, Collinsville, cried bloody murder against some spicy behavior headed its way—namely, the roving “strippermobile,” which had been spotted not within the township, but nearby.
The van-type vehicle was apparently promoting adult entertainment businesses in the area with scantily clad strippers dancing behind glass. The police hadn’t actually seen it but city hall had gotten a few calls.
An ordinance banning the activity was drafted that would “prohibit all instances of live entertainment or performances or advertising in, on or emanating from a vehicle or trailer which is moving or momentarily stopped on the street in the city of Collinsville.”

St Louis Strip Clubs: Strippermobile Banned In Illinois

Posted in St Louis strip clubs at 9:37 am by strippertease

It was actually a really good idea.  To advertise adult businesses in the area, several groups sponsored a strippermobile.  Basically, it was an advertised van that drove around town, featuring a woman or women dancing sexily behind glass.  Kind of a mobile adult botique and exotic dancer depot!  Unfortunately for those businesses, their advertising van worked a little too well and the city council of Collinsville, Illinois, has passed an ordinance banning the strippermobile.
Technically, since they can’t ban one vehicle directly, they simply banned live entertainment vehicles and trailers, regardless of whether or not they have strippers shaking their junk inside them.  Either way, the message is clear:  “No sexy dancing ladies in creepy vans in OUR town!  Skeezy dive-bars only!”
I have to wonder how this worked.  Did the stripper sit down while the van drove and only got up to dance at stoplights or when pulled over?  Did she dance all the time and just occasionally fall when the vehicle had to brake sharply?  How exactly did this work without someone toppling off her skyscraper heels and hurting herself?

St Louis Adult Entertainment: Mid-Rivers: Latest Shopping Center to Crack Down on Teen Mall Rats

Posted in St Louis adult entertainment at 10:48 am by adultstlouis

They were running and jumping and throwing food and being loud and, well, now they’re being punished.
Mid-Rivers Mall in St. Charles yesterday announced that it will begin turning away teenagers after 6 p.m. on weekend nights unless they’re accompanied by an adult. The curfew goes into effect Memorial Day weekend and applies to anyone under the age of 18.
The mall says it’s received several complaints about teenagers engaged in rowdy behavior on weekends.
In 2006, The Mills in Hazelwood became the first area mall to require teens to have an adult escort on weekend nights. The Galleria imposed a similar curfew a year later following several well-publicized fights in the mall.

St Louis Strip Clubs: New Chief Dave Clark Strips Perks From Washington Park Police Department

Posted in St Louis strip clubs at 12:36 pm by strippertease

Dave Clark, a former St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department deputy, was appointed to be the village’s new Chief of Police earlier this month. Like something out of an old Hollywood western, Clark is stridently attempting to clean up the crime-plagued town and making proclamations like, “We’re no longer going to sit and watch guys break the law. We’re going to enforce the law.”
According to a story in this morning’s Belleville News-Democrat, Clark’s confrontational-style  rubbing a lot of people the wrong way. Mostly his own police officers. The worst part? On Clark’s watch the cops are no longer allowed to spend their on-duty hours hanging out in Washington Park’s seedy strip clubs.
Officers also must utilize their time better. Instead of hanging out at businesses for long periods of time — the village is home to about half a dozen strip clubs — officers must “do a better job of patrolling and getting guys off the streets,” Clark said

Worker claims sexual harassment in suit against Amsted Industries
5/13/2010 10:50 AM By Kelly Holleran
A Granite City man claims his employer began treating him differently after he made sexual harassment complaints against a manager who allegedly placed a sexually explicit card in his locker.
Joe Evanoff filed a lawsuit May 3 in Madison County Circuit Court against Amsted Industries doing business as Amsted Rail Company, also known as ASF-Keystone.
Evanoff claims he worked for the defendant when he became the subject of sexual harassment by his supervisor, Karl Wolf.
“Managerial employee Wolf placed a sexually explicit card related to a male stripper in plaintiff’s work locker,” the suit states. “Managerial employee Wolf knew, at the time that he placed sexually explicit materials in plaintiff’s locker, that plaintiff was a deeply religious individual who was especially sensitive to obscene and sexually explicit materials.”

St Louis Adult Entertainment: Law and disorder

Posted in St Louis adult entertainment at 11:12 am by adultstlouis

I have never understood the anti-immigrant hysterics. Industrious self-starters who come to the United States to find work, create new wealth, and improve their lives are not a menace or a threat. They are an asset. No state seeks to drive out hard-working newcomers from New Mexico or Indiana; why should hard-working newcomers from Old Mexico or India be treated any differently? To say that they cross the border illegally only begs the question. Why should it be illegal for any person to come to the United States, assuming his intentions are peaceful and he is not likely to become a public charge or health risk?
For most of US history, there was no ceiling on the number of immigrants allowed to enter the country. There were some specific exclusions — polygamists and prostitutes were denied entry, for example, and the racist Chinese Exclusion Act barred immigrants from China — but on the whole, nearly anyone who wished to settle in the United States before the 1 …

St Louis Adult Entertainment: What does it mean to be a ‘nation of immigrants?’

Posted in St Louis adult entertainment at 11:12 am by adultstlouis

In 1798 a Federalist-controlled Congress, alarmed by the growing support for revolutionary France in their war with England, passed the Alien Act. This raised the citizenship residency requirement to 14 years. It was a blatant attempt Federalists to suppress support for the Democratic-Republicans Party among the immigrants, who favored France. Sound familiar?
In the 1840s, the second great wave of immigration, mostly of Roman Catholic Irish, sparked the first organized anti-foreign movement embodied in the “Know-Nothing” Party. None of their ideas were enacted into law but the stage was set for the next phase of U.S. immigration policy.
This began in the late 19
century when Congress began placing qualitative restrictions on immigration. Convicts, prostitutes, “mental defectives,” and illiterates were barred. The Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 blocked almost all immigration from that country, after the railroads were built, or course.

St Louis Adult Entertainment: MANN TALK: Why Horses Sweat But People Perspire

Posted in St Louis adult entertainment at 11:12 am by adultstlouis

The Anglo-Saxon element of English to this day has the stigma of the conquest and the enslavement, political and economic, of the English villains and serfs, who continued to speak Anglo-Saxon during the Norman rule, a stigma that still attaches to one who says, The crowd clapped but not to one who says, The audience applauded.
In fact, what is obscene and pornographic when spoken in Anglo-Saxon words becomes high-brow, cultural dissertation when spoken in French derived synonyms. In France, William the Conqueror, who was born out of wedlock to a tanners daughter, was an illegitimate but in England he was a bastard.
If one wants to succeed or be accepted in English speaking society, he must learn early that his success depends upon avoiding words of Anglo-Saxon origin and learning and speaking the French equivalent or synonyms: perspire not sweat; vomit not puke; intestines not gut; prostitute not whore or slut, etc.
