TWO men accused of murdering a doctor near Buckingham Palace spent money they took from the victim on a prostitute, a court heard.
William Paton and Thomas Connor, both from St Paul’s Cray, are accused of killing and robbing Nadim Gulamhuseinwala last July.
The 32-year-old died from head injuries two weeks after he was attacked.
Paton and Connor, both aged 20, appeared at the Old Bailey yesterday for a trial which is expected to last until next Tuesday.
The prosecution allege Connor, of Curtismill Way, attacked Dr Gulamhuseinwala in the early hours of the morning with a metal railing, before stamping on his head.
The jury was told Paton, of Clarendon Way, then grabbed the doctor’s wallet and mobile phone before fleeing with Connor.
Prosecutor Andrew Edis said: “They then, after this violence, went to Soho with the money and found a prostitute.

Nadim Gulamhuseinwala, 32, was set upon by two men in the early hours of July 25 last year as he walked home through Green Park.
He was struck on the head with a 10kg metal fence post and one of the men stamped on his face and head twice, said Andrew Edis QC, prosecuting.
Then the second man went through his pockets taking his wallet and mobile phone, the jury heard.
Mr Edis said the men had been after cash which they used to pay for a prostitute in Soho.
Earlier, one of the men had been robbed in Soho when they approached a woman they thought was a prostitute, the court was told.
“This seems to have driven him into a towering rage. He was angry,” said Mr Edis.

The media situation is extremely beneficial to Woods at Augusta. The men in the green jackets control access to their tournament like no others, and outfits like TMZ and the National Enquirer need not apply for credentials. They may not have gotten passes if Woods’ return came in a PGA Tour event either, but at virtually any other tournament those connivers in the pay-as-you-go tabloid trade no doubt would have managed to sneak their cameras in.
At Augusta, where the grounds are protected and patrolled as if it were the Pentagon, the ticket is one of the toughest to get in sports and every fan goes through a metal detector at the gate. You can bet the airspace will be secured, too. (Not much of a chance for a strip club to seize the day.)

Awkward might be an apt term. There’s a sense of anticipation, mixed with a huge helping of dread.
It’s not hard to envision hand-written signs with witticisms like Tiger Slept Here scribbled on them, or females dangling car keys along the gallery ropes. He was twice mocked in San Diego by airplanes trailing banners for local strip clubs. It could also get abusive, which is the biggest concern of the players and events like Bay Hill, where extra security in on standby in the event Woods commits by Friday’s 5 p.m. deadline.

Stripper accused of leaving child alone

WASHINGTON PARK, Ill. — A southwestern Illinois woman is accused of leaving her 3-year-old daughter to wander a motel alone while the mother worked at a strip club.
St. Clair County prosecutors have charged 28-year-old Patrice Johnson with endangering a child and illegally possessing drugs.
Workers at a Caseyville motel told police on Feb. 20 that a young girl was seen wandering around its hallways in just a T-shirt and underwear for about 45 minutes.
Authorities say Johnson showed up about an hour later and said the child’s father was supposed to have been supervising the girl while the mother worked at a strip club.
Johnson couldn’t be reached for comment. She doesn’t have a listed telephone number, and it isn’t clear if she has an attorney.

Callis granted the motion by pro-se plaintiff Hugh Brandt Feb. 26 to deny or rescind pro hac vice status after attorneys for defendant Rusty Churchman failed showed up at the Friday motion hearing.
Attorney David Ferman of Clayton, Mo. had been granted pro hac vice standing in January.
It was the second time that neither defense attorney — Ferman or Richard Bender — appeared at a hearing on the matter.
Brandt is suing Churchman for allegedly leading Brandt’s wife, Lesa Ann Brandt, to divorce him last year.
Brandt alleges that Churchman intentionally caused the end of his marriage.
He is seeking damages of $200,000 and costs.
In Churchman’s Jan. 4 answer, the defendant denies that he caused the end of the marriage. He counters that Hugh Brandt’s actions including allegedly mentally and physically abusive behavior, visits to strip clubs and spending time with prostitutes, caused the divorce.

BEVERLY HILLS, MO (KTVI-FOX2now.com) – While other media outlets are following our lead reporting on unlicensed officers in general, FOX 2 is naming names and getting action. Investigator Chris Hayes found many of the unlicensed officers at police departments along Natural Bridge Road. We spotted Justin Biancardi on the police beat, but without the state required license. He was riding in a Beverly Hills Police patrol car that was running radar on Natural Bridge. Not only doesn’t Biancardi have full police training and the required license, but he’s also mentioned in a federal indictment regarding his former partner Leon Pullen.
FBI agents arrested Pullen, claiming he raped prostitutes and stole from them. Biancardi is named by his initials J.B. as being part of the “extortion scheme.” We confirmed with three separate sources that J.B. stands for Justin Biancardi. Yet after the controversy, Biancardi hopped to a neighboring police department, Beverly Hills.

Anne Chilson was the office manager in St. Louis. ACORN’s departure, she said, will leave many under-served.
“I don’t think anyone else sort of went door to door like our organizers did on a regular basis,” she said.
Local activist Joan Suarez said she’s not sure who will fill ACORN’s unique place in community activism.
“It’s that direct involvement in that community, on the streets, knocking on the doors, pulling community folks together,” she said. “That role, it’s a void at this point.”
Suarez holds the local branch responsible for problems with voter registration cards – an East. St. Louis woman pleaded guilty last year. But she said the branches are mostly paying for problems nationally, including the embezzlement and a video that purported to show ACORN staffers telling a couple how to fraudulently receive small business loans for a prostitution business.

That’s at least the news over at KMOX, where the radio station reports that the St. Louis ACORN office has permanently closed.
Daily RFT tried calling ACORN at its Manchester Road office yesterday. We got the same vague phone recording that KMOX did: “
the person at extension 294 is unavailable, please leave your message after the tone….”
We also tried to contact ACORN’s national office, but the phone number listed on the agency’s website is no longer in service. That said, we’re relatively confident that the social action agency is still in business.
Why? Because they’ve been touting how prosecutors in Brooklyn have cleared the agency of criminal wrongdoing in those edited videos that James O’Keefe put out showing ACORN agents giving advice on how to set up a brothel.
