For Rent: One Lovely Soulard Loft With Stripper Pole
…
Unreal was stunned. An apartment with its own stripper pole? And off-street parking? In Soulard? It seemed too good to be true. So we e-mailed landlord Troy Roberts, who had posted the ad.
…
Had a tennant [sic] who asked if he could do a few things to the place — and this is sort of what morphed out. Its a nice, big, great location without the extras. Put the platform similar/same wood to the floor with the pole, mirrors around, lights the whole nine yards. Place also decked out with great lighting sconces and spot track lights, granite counter top glass block bar and walk out deck on the upper level. But the stripper pole, DEFINITELY the focal point and the extras compliment it nicely.

Lamont Aikens isn’t really even a police officer he doesn’t have the required training or State license but the Village of Uplands Park allows him to enforce our laws. Convicted for assault, stalking and possession of a controlled substance we also uncovered arrests on 51 charges including trafficking in drugs, forcible rape, assault on an officer, and 1st degree murder.
Jones displayed her shock. “Come on now. Are you serious?”
While Uplands Park is just a few blocks wide, it sits on busy Natural Bridge Road, right between the City of St. Louis and the University of Missouri-St. Louis. This past November, Lamont Aikens reportedly pursued a suspect nearly two miles out of his jurisdiction and into the City of St. Louis.
Aikens is just the latest in a line of troubled police officers in this Village. In 2007, the FOX Files exposed former corrections officer Avron Riggins for two assaults. The FBI arrested officer Leon Pullen last summer for raping and stealing from prostitutes. And in 2009, we revealed former corrections officer Harlan Jackson’s conviction for “sexual contact with a prisoner.”

Democratic party leaders in Illinois were wondering what to make of their new lieutenant governor candidate today after disclosures that he was once arrested on a charge of battery against a prostitute.
Scott Lee Cohen, 44, of Chicago, who has never held elected office, shocked the party by winning the nomination for lieutenant governor Tuesday.
He had previously admitted his arrest on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge in October of 2005, but the details are just now coming to light.
Cohen’s girlfriend at the time accused him of holding a knife to her throat and hitting her head against a wall, leaving mild abrasions and a bump.
The charges were dropped when the women failed to appear in court.
The woman later got court supervision for an unrelated prostitution charge.

CHICAGO (WBBM) — The apparent Democratic nominee for Illinois lieutenant governor, Scott Lee Cohen, was accused of swinging a knife and scarring a woman in 2005 – a woman who had previously been arrested on prostitution charges.
The spokesman says five years ago, Cohen was in the middle of a divorce and “he got involved with the wrong kind of people.”
The charge against Scott Lee Cohen in October of 2005: domestic battery.
He was accused of holding a knife to the neck of a 24-year-old woman and causing a “minor scar” – and pushing her head against the wall.
Cohen was arrested and $7,500 bail was set.
The case was dropped because the woman wasn’t in court.
The misdemeanor complaint says the woman was “a household member,” but she gave an address in Lake County, Illinois.
The woman had previously been charged with prostitution.

Woman in case later pleaded guilty to prostitution
The newly minted Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor said Wednesday that he doesn’t think a 2005 domestic battery arrest should hurt the party’s chances in the fall general election, although records in the case raise questions about his version of events.
Scott Lee Cohen, a pawnbroker who poured millions of dollars into his surprise victory in the little-publicized contest among half a dozen candidates, had previously disclosed the arrest. He described it Wednesday as an argument with his drunken girlfriend and said he didn’t lay a hand on her, though she called the police and had him taken into custody.
But the official police and court records on the October 2005 incident show the woman alleged Cohen put a knife to her throat and pushed her head against the wall. Public records show that the woman, his 24-year-old girlfriend at the time, pleaded guilty to prostitution that same month.

But the official police and court records show that the woman alleged Cohen put a knife to her throat and pushed her head against the wall.
In their October 14 arrest report detailing the complaint from the 24-year-old woman, Chicago police noted they observed “mild abrasions from knife wound” on her neck. They also noted “minor scars on her hand from her trying to defend herself against the arrestee swinging the knife at her.” The report notes the woman was seen by ambulance personnel but not taken to a hospital.
The case was dropped a month later when the woman did not show up for a court date.
Also, public records show that the alleged victim, Scott’s 24-year-old girlfriend at the time, was a prostitute. Six months before the October 2005 incident, she had been arrested after a police investigation of a Glenview massage parlor. She later pleaded guilty to a charge of prostitution.
