Morgan: Ugh… I’m not even going to bother anymore… poor Hannah, she just wants to give daddy a good luck kiss, but she can’t reach him for all the strippers. Glad to see our pay cuts are being put to good use.
Buddy:This is quite the auspicious entrance for Larry, but I can’t blame him for stalling. After last year’s stunt, he’s going to have a huge target on his back.
Morgan: Indeed he does. Maybe he could’ve used the stripper funds to hire some big burley men in stead.
Buddy: Or perhaps to buy an alibi, because he just spotted Hannah staring at him. He’s shooing the strippers to the back, but if looks could kill, Csonka would be headed the way of the tag team and the manager.

The news story took a look at unemployment in East St. Louis, according to Theising, as well as crime, poverty and other problems affecting the area.
“What the rest of the economy is feeling because of the recession, East St. Louis has been feeling for a generation,” Theising said.
Theising said he helped by arranging interviews for the production crew sent from New York. He also drove the crew around East St. Louis so they could get a feel for the area.
“We saw all that is good and bad of East St. Louis,” Theising said. “It’s very sad, but it’s a part of reality.”
He showed them where the drug dealers and prostitutes spend their days as part of the tour, as well as the disrepair around the community.

… 01-22) 13:36 PST NEW YORK, (AP) — MTV is doing a 180 from the fist-pumping, tanning-bed shenanigans of “Jersey Shore” to its new documentary series, “The Buried Life.”
Cameras follow four guys — Duncan Penn and his brother Jonnie Penn, Ben Nemtin and Dave Lingwood — from British Columbia, Canada, who made a list of goals they hoped to complete within their lifetime. For every item they cross off their list, they help a stranger complete one of his or her own.
Goals on “The Buried Life” (10 p.m. EST, Mondays, MTV) range from the simple (grow a mustache) to lofty (play basketball with President Obama).
The show is somewhat tamer programming for the MTV of stripper poles, hot-tub brawls and “Jackass”-type humor.
“It’s entertaining to watch these guys try to pull off something that frankly seems impossible,” says Brent Haynes, senior vice president of series development at MTV. “It has a great mix of entertainment and poignancy.”

In 1775, “the shot heard ¤’round the world” was fired here in Massachusetts as patriots said “enough!” to the tyranny of oppressive rulers. The revolution for our American freedom was underway. The 2010 election of Scott P. Brown in Massachusetts, the bluest of blue states, will forevermore be know as “the Scott heard ¤’round the world.” Once again, the people are sending a message that will not be ignored.
The people are waking up to -out-of-control members of Congress who are dismissive of the very Constitution they are sworn to uphold. Americans are disgusted with so-called representatives that prostitute themselves and sell their votes by taking what amounts to flat-out bribes while openly mocking and laughing at the people. We’re tired of leaders no longer even pretending to listen to our voices. People voted for change and we got more lies.

Ms. Dixon urged members of Lo-Salem, whose church is near an outdoor basketball facility, to go out and get to know the young people who shoot hoops during the warm months. They could take them bottled water, she said. They should stay and talk to the young people, she said. If church members are filled with Jesus Christ, she said, that essence ”will come out of your pores” to the young people, Ms. Dixon said.
”Dont expect sinners to knock down your [church] doors,” she said. ”Jesus said, Go and make disciples.
”Are we willing to step out of our pulpits and out of our pews and make a real and practical difference in the lives of the gang bangers across the street, the alcoholic next door, and the prostitute we drive by, in order to draw them to Christ, teach them how to use their skills to make legal money and show them how to be real fathers and real mothers to their children?”

The film follows “Oscar and his sister Linda, recent arrivals in Tokyo. Oscar is a small time drug dealer, and Linda works as a nightclub stripper. One night, Oscar is caught up in a police bust and shot. As he lies dying, his spirit, faithful to the promise he made his sister – that he would never abandon her – refuses to abandon the world of the living. His spirit wanders through the city, his visions growing evermore distorted, evermore nightmarish. Past, present and future merge in a hallucinatory maelstrom.”

Possible strip club at Stateline

STATELINE, Nev.—A lawyer at Lake Tahoe may be looking into the possibility of turning a vacant casino into a strip club on the main casino drag in Stateline.
Douglas County Sheriff Ron Pierini says Michael Laub has inquired about the licensing required to establish the strip club at the former Bill’s Lake Tahoe Casino.
The casino between Harrah’s and Mount Bleu shut its doors on Jan. 4.
Laub has had no comment. But Pierini says Laub was concerned about whether the Douglas County commission would approve a license.
The sheriff told the Tahoe Daily Tribune his concerns about such a project would include public intoxication, fights, drug use and prostitution. He says he would recommend the hiring of a highly professional security team if such an operation went forward.

DANVILLE – The Rev. B. Lamont Monford used his speech at Danville’s Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration service as a call to action for the community.
The pastor of the Philippian Missionary Baptist Church in Lima, Ohio, used humor, movie trivia and a Bible story to get the audience into his message.
Monford joked about being given a time frame for his speech and about people always wanting to know where Lima is.
“I tell them, it’s L-I-M-A, lost in middle America,” he said of the town on Interstate 75 north of Dayton.
Monford’s mother was a drug user and a prostitute who was murdered when he was 14. He has used his experiences to write “Valleys to Victories” and earned master’s and doctoral degrees in ministry and founded Mary Alice’s House, a sober living environment, named for his mother.

Almost 47 years have passed since Martin Luther King, Jr. made his famous “I have a dream” speech. The United states and the world have made major strides since that time, but human trafficking still has millions enslaved today.
Chair of the Flathead Valley Martin Luther King Day Community Celebration Reverend Darryl Kistler says, “27 million is almost a number that is beyond anything we can think about. That would be taking every person in Montana and multiplying us by 27 and that’s how many people are involved or enslaved by human trafficking.”
According to the U.S. State Department, trafficking exists in every single U.S. state and around the globe. Between 14,500 and 17,500 people are brought to the U.S. every single year under false pretences. Many are forced into prostitution, manual labor, and other services.
